ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½ ROWING

The ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½ City University Devon Boathouse is a world-class facility that greatly impacts student-athletes at ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½ on the men’s and women’s rowing teams. Help support the updates needed to keep our teams at the peak of physical performance.

ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½ BOATHOUSE

This US Olympic and Paralympic Training Site is the home of ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½ Rowing and headquarters for the ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½ City National High Performance Center. Designed for ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½ by Rand Elliott, Elliott & Associates Architects, the facility is one in a series of iconic boathouses in the Boathouse District at the ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½ River. Its dramatic architecture creates a striking image against the backdrop of ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½ City’s downtown skyline and creates the impression of the boathouse’s β€œprow” breaking the river’s edge.

Soaring spaces created by glass and polycarbonate walls are flooded with natural light and include a two-story boat bay and the Ann Lacy Event Center. Expansive windows offer unparalleled views of the ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½ River and a second story balcony overlooks the boat bay ramps and docks. Blue LED lights accent the exterior of the boathouse at night, highlighting the ties to ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½ City University.

The venue also has gained popularity as a wedding destination and hosted significant events like American Idol and national Google initiatives. It serves as the center for the US Olympic Committee’s Next Olympic Hopeful Initiative, providing world-class training facilities for identifying future Olympic talent.
