Areas of Expertise
Dr. Lewisβ expertise is in organizational culture and management education/pedagogy. Currently, Lewisβ research is focused on the strategic implementation of diversity, equity and inclusion programs with a focus on protecting organizations from unintended outcomes of DEI programs. Lewis has also published multiple articles on faculty qualifications, recruitment, and the impact of industry experience in AACSB business programs. His writings have appeared in high quality journals such as Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion: An International Journal, The Journal of Management Education, Organization Management Journal, and The Journal of Leadership Education.
Professional Activities
Dr. Lewis came to ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½ and ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½ City after being a tenured associate professor of management at The University of Central Arkansas. Since 2019, he has been Co-Editor-in-Chief of Organization Management Journal and since 2022 has been Editor-in-Chief of The Quarterly Review of Business Disciplines. Lewis is an executive board member of The Southwest Academy of Management and was named Junior Faculty of the Year by The Midwest Academy of Management in 2017. In 2018, he and his team were awarded βOutstanding Professional Development Workshopβ by The Academy of Management. Lewis devotes much of his energy to empowering doctorial students and junior faculty to make informed and healthy employment decisions.
Away from campus, Lewis is the owner and CEO of The North Texas Beer Club, LLC which works to connect small breweries for strategic alliances as well as partners with breweries for event planning and promotional activities. Lewis is also an active lifetime member of The ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½ State University Alumni Association.
